In the first three months since 1st April 2022, Kaliedy witnessed over 85% decrease of checkout dropoff, 14% of the sales coming from Digital wallets (Google Pay & Apple Pay) and 2% sales coming from Klarna.
Born in 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, at the hands of Ben Ward, Kaliedyis the first baby and nursery digital-only retailer. Kaliedy spun out of Mothercare Ireland and brings over 95 years of experience in the baby industrywhile offering its customers a simplified shopping experience, customised to fulfil all their needs.
Since their launch on the Kooomo eCommerce platform, Kaliedy's aim was to shape a path into the Irish modern baby-oriented industry. Having ambitions to scale internationally, Kaliedy desired to have the ability to accept International payments without any complications. A key part of an eCommerce strategy is the International payments options, which have the potential to upgrade the checkout process and improve conversion rates.
Ben Ward, Head of digital, Kaliedy
"A seamless switch over to the new gateway. Well planned and managed by the team in Kooomo". The new system has been well received by customers and our team alike would highly recommend it.
We pride ourselves on the fact that Kaliedy chose to be Kooomo Payments first customer. Back in the days when the website was launched, Kaliedy supported standard credit/debit card payments and PayPal.
After the Kooomo Payments project was launched, Kaliedy implemented digital wallets (Apple & Google Pay) and Klarna on their website. Customers can use Klarna to spread out the cost of payments over time, especially useful for large purchases such as prams.
