This privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and manage your personal data within the Kooomo organisation and for what purposes. Where we refer to “personal data” in this privacy notice, this means data which relates to you as an individual and which personally identifies you either directly or indirectly.   Please read this privacy notice carefully and as this Privacy Notice may change and evolve in the future, we recommend you check back periodically to see if we have made any changes.

Kooomo Commerce uses information gathered from you when you use our website, contact us directly, or sign up to our marketing lists and as such is a Data Controller in these circumstances as it is determining how the data is being processed. Kooomo Commerce also acts as the Data Processor in circumstances where it is legitimately processing data on behalf of another business or company to provide goods or services on their behalf.

How Do We Use Your Personal Data

We collect personal data when you visit our website and request information by submitting a form on one of our webpages or when you make contact directly via the website, telephone, email or post directly.

Kooomo may also collect personally identifiable information with individuals' consent when they voluntarily submit information to the Company by way of a job application or submission of a curriculum vitae. In this instance, personal data will only be held for as long as it is required for the purpose of recruitment assessment and will not be used by the Company for any other purpose. It may be shared with third parties (e.g. recruitment agency or HR consultant) to assist with the recruitment assessment process.

We may also obtain, collect, and process your Personal Data where it is in our legitimate interest to do so for example, in support of our clients where we are acting as the Data Processor, and we need to fulfil our legitimate interest for e Third Party. When we process your Personal Data based on our legitimate interests, we make sure to consider and balance any potential impact on you and your data protection rights. We will not use your Personal Data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted by law).

We take reasonable risk based measures to protect the data provided via our services which may include pseudonymising or anonymising the personal data. If personal data is pseudonymised, this means it is de-identified so you are no longer identifiable, but we can re-identify you if we have a requirement to do so. If personal data is anonymised, it is de-identified, but can never be re-identified in the future.   However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to us via the internet.

How long is my data held?

We take measures to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information if required by law or if the Personal Data is no longer required for the purpose for which we collected it.  

How do I change my permissions?

If you want to update your information, change your mind, or no longer wish to be a part of our community, please email marketing@kooomo.com and let us know. You may ask us to make changes and we will action these as promptly as possible. You can also unsubscribe from receiving emails from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in our emails. Your details will be immediately removed, and we will not contact you again.  

Changes to our privacy policy

Our services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for us to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
