My Cloud E-Week in Barcelona
It’s been even busier than usual here at Kooomo since we were named in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce 2017. I’ve been to a lot of events over the last few months but I was particularly thrilled to go to Barcelona as part of the Global eCommerce Summit 2017.
It’s one of Europe’s leading ecommerce events that focuses on the key trends and developments in global digital commerce markets, cross-border trading and omnichannel retail.
It was a great opportunity to collaborate with online retailers, entrepreneurs and ecommerce experts from around the world and share knowledge about what’s shaping the future of digital commerce.
We were delighted to be joined in Barcelona with Kooomo partners, Adabra, who provide a really innovative tool for creating unique and customised customer experiences. It was also an absolute pleasure to be joined on the Kooomo stand with digital agency partners, Insiteout and I have to thank Marc Malagelada, their founder-partner, for delivering a great presentation with me on day two of the event.
Kooomo provides a cloud commerce platform with all the functionality to support ecommerce. Integral to that, though, is our network of specialist partners throughout the supply chain. They mean that our solution is a real community of professionals with a holistic view of ecommerce. Together with our partners, we support our customers in managing the online shop, both operationally and strategically.
This is an area I’m really passionate about. Our value proposition is quite different from our competitors, who can often leave customers on their own, without any kind of support. My own philosophy is to create a relationship with the customer built on trust and confidence. By providing support and guidance, the customer relationship is built for long-term growth.
Our cloud-based solution gives customers a product that’s ready to use and has everything needed to sell globally. This means that you don’t have to invest time, money and IT resources in the implementation and customisation of the software. You concentrate on doing what you do best. If that’s selling shoes, you can focus on selling shoes and the technology will help you do that in the digital world.
After the trade-show it was amazing to be able to spend some time in the technology quarter of Barcelona. Apart from eating lots of wonderful food, it was a great opportunity to meet with RocketROI and Blueknow, two of our partners in Spain, and plan our strategy together. I’m also really excited to have begun talks with Pasiona, one of the leading digital agencies in Europe, it seems that we have lots in common.
It was inspiring to meet so many like-minded people in Barcelona who shared the Kooomo philosophy. I met very interesting people and made some great connections which will hopefully last long into the future.
