High-end swimwear and beach couture brand, Miss Bikini has just launched their brand new online store through the Kooomo platform (check it out here). The Italian-based luxe fashion retailer, who has been in business for over 30 years has always had a strong focus on designing for different cultures, lifestyles, customs, and habits. Now, through the redesign and optimisation of Miss Bikini’s e-Shop, the brand is able to truly showcase their collections and engage with customers on a global scale.

Until now, the team at Miss Bikini had been using a basic web content management system to build and maintain their website and online store. However, with peak sales season fast approaching, the brand made the switch to the Kooomo platform in February 2018.
Typically, migrating an entire product catalogue from one platform to another is a huge undertaking, one that involves dozens of hours of manual data entry and manpower. However, through advances product information management tools in the Kooomo platform, it was possible to import existing products, images, and prices, then assign items to their relevant categories – be it bikinis, prêt-à-porter, accessories, sales, or top sellers. Users can now filter Miss Bikini’s products by category, size, colour, and price, strengthening the user experience by displaying the most relevant products.

Meanwhile, the front end of Miss Bikini’s website was being designed by a creative agency, who needed to ensure that the online store would seamlessly align with the new look and feel of the website.
Often the danger with redesigning and relaunching an e-Shop when your business is seasonal in nature is that retailers can run the risk of missing out on sales opportunities if project deadlines are missed, and lead times change. However, by utilising the Kooomo platform, Miss Bikini has been able to complete the redesign project and launch their new online store in just over 12 weeks, ensuring that they can maximise online sales for the Spring Summer 2018 season.

With predictions that the global swimwear market will reach $22.7 billion by 2022, it’s clear to see that Miss Bikini has now firmly positioned their brand to go after a piece of the pie and maximise online sales potential.
